Disconnect A Hosted Remote session window accurately

How to properly disconnect a remote session in case of an error or a frozen window.

This article explains instances where you may need to to disconnect a CLOUD hosted window, and how to proceed correctly.

Reasons you may need to disconnect

In some cases you may experience the below on a hosted window:

  • An error : \Themes\UserTheme.gd' because it is being used by another process.'

  • A frozen CLOUD hosted window.

  • Cannot disconnect from the CLOUD hosted version.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: When connected to the RDP Cloud back office modules you will not be able to disconnect properly the window by solely clicking the X on the module you are on


Close a Remote session

To close the Remote session you will need to:

  1. Navigate to the bottom right of the taskbar near the clock/time.

  2. Click the up arrow and you'll see the RDP connection there.

  3. Click disconnect session.

โš ๏ธImportant: If not proceeding as per the instructions, you will likely have multiple sessions open until you shut down your PC or network which be why you are experiencing lagging of speed and also errors.
