This article explains what users see when they enter incorrect login details in a Gamma module and how an on-site system administrator can unlock the account and reset the password.

πŸ“ŒNote: Users have two separate logins. One login is for EPOS and another is for Stock, Membership, Mail Order, and Bookings. Each account has a separate password and may also have a different user ID.

Reset a Locked Gamma Module Password

When a user enters an incorrect User ID or Password in any Gamma module, the system shows this message:

Login Failed: Please Confirm your Login Details and try again.
You have 4 retry attempts.

If the user is still unable to log in after 4 attempts, they must contact their assigned on-site system administrator. The system administrator can then reset the password in the Stock module.

  1. Log in to the Stock module, then click Security and Users.

  2. Check that Active User Account is selected.

  3. Check that User Account is not Locked is clear. If it is selected, clear it.

  4. Click Reset Password.

  5. Type a new password, then confirm the new password.

  6. Select the Force user to change password on next login checkbox.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Provide the user with the new password.

When the user next logs in with the temporary password, the system prompts them to change it to a new password that is more meaningful and unique.
