This article explains how you can setup a replacement Verifone credit card terminal:
Power up the terminal.
Press F4 to go into setup.
Enter the manager pin 2580, press Enter.
Select Option 1.
Select Option 3.
Choose Option 1 and enter the IP address assigned to the terminal.
Choose Option 2 and enter the Subnet mask.
Select Option 3 to Enter Gateway.
Cancel back to "Press enter to start communication"
📌Note: To enter a . for the IP address press the * or # key.
The terminal should now be setup to connect to the network
